K&N (69-3536TTK): Typhoon Intake for 2015 Ford Mustang 3.7L

A K&N performance air intake system is designed to free up horsepower being lost to restrictive factory air inlet components. By replacing the stock enclosed air box, accordion hosing, and sound baffling, a K&N performance air intake system can reduce restriction, straighten airflow, and increase both horsepower and torque. K&N’s 2015 Ford Mustang Fastback V6 and 2015 Ford Mustang Convertible V6 air intake systems (69-3536TTK) replace these restrictive factory parts with a mandrel-bent aluminum air intake tube, finished in a flat black powdercoat and coupled to a high-flow washable and reusable K&N air filter. Additionally, it incorporates an application-specific, powder-coated heat shield, which helps block hot air from entering the intake system.

K&N (33-5030): for 2015 Canyon/Colorado

K&N replacement air filters are made with K&N’s specially woven cotton gauze air filter media. Because cotton, by nature, is more breathable than the paper found in typical automotive air filters, a K&N replacement air filter can provide an increase in airflow. More air and less restriction can result in more horsepower and torque. The 33-5030 washable replacement air filter for 2015 Chevrolet Colorado or 2015 GMC Canyon 2.5L and 3.6L models is designed to fit into the stock air filter box without any need for modifications. K&N air filters feature an application-specific molded urethane frame for a precise fit and excellent sealing. A reusable K&N high-flow replacement air filter is designed to improve performance without any need for modifications or tuning.

To Oil or Not to Oil: (That’s Not Really the Question)

By John M. Arnaud

Over the years, the air-filter experts at K&N have proven (in their in-house filtration test lab, no less) that the secret to increasing airflow to your engine without sacrificing protection lies in their exclusive air filter oil. This oil, which permeates a filter’s cotton fibers, grabs dust and other microscopic contaminants and keeps them from entering your system. Non-oiled paper filters don’t even come close.

So the question isn’t whether you should be using an oiled filter (you should); instead, you should be asking “How much should I use?” and “How do I apply it?” The answers to those questions depend on which delivery system you use: squeeze bottle or aerosol applicator. Read on for the scoop from K&N:

Squeeze Bottle

Apply the air filter oil evenly along the crown of each pleat, then allow the oil to wick for 20 minutes before touching up any light areas on either side of the filter.

Aerosol Bottle

Spray the oil evenly along the crown of each pleat, holding the spray nozzle about 3” away from the filter. Allow the oil to wick for 20 minutes, then touch up any light areas on either side of the filter.

Most K&N air filters are oiled at the factory, so reoiling shouldn’t be necessary until it’s time to clean your filter, usually at 50,000 or 100,000 miles, depending on your application. K&N’s Recharger kits contain everything you need to freshen up your filter, including filter cleaner and your choice of oil dispenser.

K&N Corvette C7 Cold Air

K&N Gives Corvette C7 a Blast of Fresh, Cold Air

The 2014-2015 Chevy Corvette is a pretty remarkable machine fresh out of the factory: a 460-horsepower engine, capable of getting you up to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds, still manages to get you a respectable-for-the-pop 29 highway miles per gallon. Despite those impressive specs, K&N has managed to help you get even more out of it.

K&N Air Filter

With its cold air intake for the new 6.2L Corvette, K&N guarantees more horsepower and torque by replacing the restrictive factory air filter box and accordion hose with a free-flowing, high-density polyethylene air intake tube that minimizes restriction and increases airflow to the engine.

Dyno tests showed 12.51 more horses on average at 4,998 RPM and an extra 16.63 lb-ft of torque at 4,004 RPM. Merge it, pass it, punch it: you’ll enjoy a boost across your Vette’s entire RPM range.

The 63-3081 is married to one of K&N’s high-flow carbon-fiber air filters, which is washable and reusable and capable of going as far as 100K miles between cleanings (depending on driving conditions).

Also Features:

  • Quick installation time of 90 minutes or less with standard hand tools
  • Maintains all factory connections and does not require additional modifications
  • K&N’s Million Mile Limited Warranty
