As part of its first-ever collaboration with Petty’s Garage (owned by racer Richard Petty), Omix-ADA and its Rugged Ridge brand provided bumpers, light bars, wheels, tube doors, and a grille and winch to help outfit the Hydro Blue Jeep Wrangler JK, which will be offered without reserve at Mecum Auctions in Houston on April 8. Proceeds from the sale of this SEMA Cares show vehicle will benefit Victory Junction Camp, a Petty-family charity that cares for children with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses.
The Petty’s Garage crew transformed the Jeep, which started as a stock 2016 JK, into a serious off-road contender. In addition to the accessories donated by Omix-ADA and Rugged Ridge, the vehicle features a supercharged Magnuson 3.6 L / 425 HP engine, Fox smooth body shocks, custom Hydro Blue BASF paint, and much more. It’s the fourth time Omix-ADA has contributed to SEMA Cares and its ongoing work to support local communities.
