AEM: CD-7/CD-7L Digital Racing Dash Displays

CAN Dash 7” (CD-7) and CAN Dash 7” Logging (CD-7L) color digital displays from AEM are now available! Their ultra-bright, high-contrast displays are readable in sunlight thanks to an integrated glare diffuser and shade hood. Designed to accept channels from CAN bus connections (analog input not supported), these units feature two CAN bus channels in order to receive and collect data from AEMnet-enabled devices such as the Infinity ECU, Series 2 EMS or EMS-4, and 3rd party devices such as PDMs, CAN sensor modules, and programmable engine management systems.

Seven ultra-bright LEDs span the top of the display housing for RPM and shift-light indication; these are programmable to ascend in specific increments based on RPM range, then flash when it is time to shift. Two large physical buttons allow easy page browsing and memory resetting even with driving gloves on. These button functions are also duplicated on the rear connector, giving users the option to mount remote buttons on the steering wheel. AEM also included two additional programmable LEDs above the toggle buttons on the sides of the housing.

Four units available: 30-5500 (CD-7, non-logging display), 30-5501 (CD-7L, logging display), 30-5502 (CD-7 with VDM), and 30-5503 (CD-7L with VDM).

Royal Purple: Purple Ice Cooling System Optimizer

Purple Ice, the reformulated cooling system optimizer and conditioner from Royal Purple, is the most advanced product of its kind, reducing engine coolant temperatures by as much as 25°F and providing unmatched protection against harmful buildup and corrosion in the cooling systems of cars, trucks, motorcycles, and powersports equipment.

Royal Purple: Purple Ice Cooling System Optimizer
Royal Purple: Purple Ice Cooling System Optimizer

Racing, towing, and day-to-day driving can strain today’s cooling systems—a vital yet often neglected system that is prone to overheating. As a wetting agent, Purple Ice helps lower engine coolant temperatures by reducing the surface tension of the coolant. This allows a better interface between the engine’s coolant and hot metal components, which enables the coolant to better pull heat away from the engine, helping prevent overheating as well as the formation of damaging engine hot spots.

Purple Ice is especially beneficial for performance racing applications where the use of conventional glycol-based coolants is not permitted. When added to water, its glycol-free formulation provides racers with advanced corrosion protection, enhanced heat transfer capabilities, and compliance with racetrack rules.

Unlike other similar products, Purple Ice is 100 percent water soluble and leaves behind no film or buildup. Royal Purple has designed Purple Ice to be compatible with all OEM and stock replacement coolants, including extended-life antifreezes, and can also be used with straight water for maximum cooling benefit. Plus, it won’t harm sensitive rubber seals and hoses.

Available in 12-ounce bottles (01600) and 12-bottle cases (12600).

  • Reduces engine coolant temperatures by as much as 25 degrees Fahrenheit.
