Straight from the innovators at Design Engineering, Inc., Under Hood Thermal Acoustic Lining greatly reduces heat and noise generated in the automotive engine compartments of today’s modern modified vehicles. Installing via a simple peel-and-stick 5 ml acrylic adhesive that produces a permanent bond, the 3/4” thick, marine-grade acoustical foam is reinforced with a reflective aluminum skin. This material not only insulates the underside of the hood, but it also protects your vehicle’s paint finish. In addition, DEI’s Under Hood Thermal Acoustic Lining can be used as a noise-control solution on generator boxes, industrial HVAC scenarios, and similar applications.

Introducing a new finish option, flexible heat shields from Design Engineering Inc. provide maximum cooling and protection against extreme heat (up to 1,350 degrees Fahrenheit) on any auto, marine, or powersports application. Heat shields are also ideal for protecting gas tanks, body panels, bumpers, and more.

Previously available in Brushed Stainless and Brushed ONYX, DEI flexible heat shields are now offered in an ONYX Double Black with Black Cerakote trim. All heat shields can be purchased in 3.5” x 6” and 4” x 8” sizes. All finishes leverage a dual-layer design. The outer layer is made from heat-treated glass fiber infused with molten aluminum and formed into a tight weave. Inside is a high-temperature fabric made from 89% silica. DEI flexible heat shields include an innovative pipe stand-off formed with two 3.5” clamps to create an air gap for additional cooling, heat dispersion, and a no-drill installation.

Easy Loom split line sleeving from Design Engineering, Inc. The Design Engineering, Inc. EXO Series™ exhaust wrap is designed for use in extreme environments. Traditional exhaust wraps have not been able to withstand the dirt and water that can accompany off-road, dirt track, desert, and other forms of intense driving. The EXO Series features a dual-layer design that incorporates a combination of high-temperature glass covered with a 304-grade stainless steel exoskeleton. This unique construction maintains high heat protection while offering superior abrasion and impact shielding. What’s more, DEI’s unique Air Gap Technology keeps the glass fiber wrap from directly contacting the hot surface by way of an insulating air barrier.

The EXO Series exhaust wrap comes in a special 1.5” width, making it easy to install on any type of header, exhaust pipe, or exhaust system; this size also makes it perfect for high-impact spot protection. DEI (010383): Fuel Injector Reflective Heat Covers

In hot temperatures, both performance and factory fuel injectors can be at risk of vapor lock or heat soak, which can cause a rough idle, slow starting, or other potential serious engine problems. DEI’s Fuel Injector Reflective Heat Covers (010383, 8 pack) solve this problem by reflecting both direct and radiant heat away from the injectors. Constructed of high-temperature-rated glass fiber material bonded to a heat-reflective aluminized material, these DEI covers can be used on most engine configurations that use stock or aftermarket fuel injectors. Cooler fuel injectors will perform more efficiently, offering a more consistent throttle response.

Installation is a breeze, as the injectors do not have to be removed. The covers feature a split design, allowing them to wrap around each individual injector, and are secured with a sewn-in hook-and-loop fastening edge.
