Performance Corner sponsoring vendor Royal Purple is of course known for its high-performance lubricants, but college football fans will also know it as the current sponsor of the Las Vegas Bowl, the 16th-oldest FBS bowl in existence.
Traditionally pitting teams from the Mountain West and Pac-12 Conferences, the Royal Purple Las Vegas bowl this year featured an all-Utah showdown between the Utes of the University of Utah and the BYU Cougars. Utah raced out to a staggering 35-0 first quarter fueled by turnovers before holding off a second-half BYU surge to win 35-28—its second straight victory in the bowl.
